Strawberry Patch Party

My baby girl turned one recently and I had to throw her a sweet little party.  It was all about strawberries. Strawberry cake, strawberry milk, strawberry favors, strawberry table cloth....
strawberry invitations.... which brings us to our FEATURED STAMP SET, Party Elements: Celebration from Clear & Simple Stamps.

Stamp sets used for invitation:
Rag Doll House: Stand
Rag Doll House: Shop
Rag Doll House die
By the Glass Sentiments
Cake Decorating
Cake Decorating Too
Flowers (big strawberries)
Cake die
Party Elements: Celebration

I special ordered the cake from my local bakery called Dandalia Bakery. The special part is inside.... OMBRE!

The banner is made from Favor Flags dies.

And the food markers are also from Favor Flags.

I wrapped the utensils in paper napkins and wrapped stamped pattern paper around each one. I used the sentiment "Hugs & Kisses and birthday Wishes" from Cake Decorating Extras. I love the scripty font in this collection.

The bakery also made these tasty and fabulously large strawberry cookies! Best sugar cookies this side of Mississippi. My Mama live on the other side! ;)

Here is the more traditional way of using the Favor Flags. Isn't it a cute little banner?!

Now, on to the party favor bags. One for each kiddo.

I filled the bags will all things STRAWBERRY. I hit the jackpot at Five Below. Jelly beans, biscuits, mints, creme filled candies..... you name it, they had it!

The is Rag Doll Jake. I love coloring his hair. I used the following Copics:
Hair: YR00, E55, E57
Skin: E000, E21
Jake is a die/stamp combo.

And here is Jake's best friend, Carlie.
Carlie is also a die/stamp combo.

Each adult scored a party favor, too. All strawberry related or red. Each bag has Red Rooster coffee in it!

I used the Toppers die to cut a folding top from pattern paper then adorned it with the rose and leaves from Flower Buds and used a sentiment from Sweet Sentiments.
We hope you enjoy all the parties today.

Clear & Simple Stamps Release in Review: Day 6

I decided to join in on the fun today with Clear & Simple Stamps .... After all, it is Rag Doll day.

I made a sweet little birthday ensemble using two Rag Dolls; Emma and Jake (my kiddos).

First, let's talk about that big HAPPY stamp, shall we?!  You'll find it in Emma Rag Doll: Happy. I colored the word in with Copic markers then used the kissing technique with Designer Lines to get that perfect diamond pattern.

Then topped the A with the gift box from this set. I stamped the box in two colors and switch the bows. I used a marker to fill the strip to look like ribbon down the middle of the box.

I colored little leaning Emma with Copics and using the colorless blender, made dots on the dress. Everyone needs a party hat, right? I paper pieced the party hat from Rag Dolls: Hats. I love this little add-on set....
Rag Doll Hats

Here's Rag Doll Jake: Cool. Isn't he a cutie?! I masked a little fish onto his shirt from Beach Bum.

What's a party without a little party favor?! I decorated this little gable box (aka: Party favor 5) using a sentiment from Beach Bum and some cute shape dies. The heart is from Build-a-Critter Owl/Kitty die set and the star and hexagon are each a combo set.... which means you get the die PLUS a matching border stamp set. AWESOME!

How was that for a release review? Be sure to check out the CSS blog and the fabulous team members and talented guests listed below:

Copics colors I used:
Hair: YR00, E55, E57

Clothes: BG0000, BG10, BG13, colorless blender
Happy: E31, E55

PARTY TIME (Day 5)

It’s Day 5 and we are super excited for you to join us in today’s Release in Review Party at Clear & Simple Stamps!! Each designer has taken the PARTY ELEMENTS: BABY set and created a party ensemble. Hop along from blog to blog for a ton of fabulous party inspirations….

I made an invitation and party favor for a 'Bring A Book' Baby Shower. This theme is modern and chic! This theme is great if it's your second (or more) baby, too. Check it out....

Ohh, you are gonna want to PIN THIS!
Isn't this party ensemble darling?

First up, the adorable polka dot party favor. CSS carries a new line of favors, this one has the option of two different lids! It's called Party Favor #2. I made a simple paper bow and decorated a cute little tag (Tags 1) using Sweet Dreams, Party Elements: Baby (sentiment), Trendy Tags (tag outline). Each guest can take one home.

Now, on to the invitation!!! I just LOVE the new MINI TRI-FOLD favor. I designed it with a gift card in mind but it can be used as an invite as well. The possibilities are endless, really!

I paired up a cart from Cart Pals: Baby with this darling little story time stamp from Sweet Dreams. How cute is that blanket? No, how cute is that star hanging down. It's as if the moon is reading to the star. Ahhh!

The Party Elements: Baby set, that I used here, is great for, not only baby arrival announcements but for parties too... any party!

I love the open face sentiments from BABY SENTIMENTS. I stamped one on a little banner to set off the party theme then followed it with the perfect sentiment to tell your guests what to do and why. It's so perfect! I stamped the stars and swirls from Sweet Dreams as if they were exploding from the book. A book of knowledge for baby!!

And who can resist the little cow jumping over the moon. OMG!!

I colored the book and cow (both from Sweet Dreams) in with Copics. I just LOVE how it turned out.

And the stars go on and on. I wish I would have had a book party for my second baby! This is just too cute!

Okay, that's not all.... the Design Team has more for you to ohh and ahh at..... enjoy!

Do-Over Blog Hop

One of my New Year Resolutions this year is to participate in one challenge a month. This is my second! Go me!
Amber @ Damask Love challenged her readers to play along in her Do-Over Blog Hop.
The challenge is to go through your blog posts and find that project that left you thinking to yourself, "What was I thinking?!".

But first.... THE AFTER:

THE DO-OVER (aka: what was I thinking):
I think I was thinking color first then add designer paper. I think the colors here are so drab when all is said and done. What was I thinking?!

I decided I wanted a rainbow of colors. I like this version much better.

I used the same stamp sets as in the original. Craft Room and Crafty Sentiments!  AND.... these stacked buckets are inspired by Virginia.

Now I can invite a crafty friend over and be proud of my colorful card.

Thanks Amber for the unique and inspiring challenge!!

Perfect Pair 2-day Blog Hop

Welcome to DAY 2 of the
Perfect Pair 2-day Blog Hop.
Creative Cuts & More has paired up with Clear & Simple Stamps to bring you two days of amazing inspiration and prizes! We challenged both design teams to pair up die cuts from Creative Cuts & More and stamp sets from Clear & Simple Stamps. A match made in Heaven!

The Prizes
There are 2 prizes up for grabs today. Two lucky people will win either a $25 Gift Certificate from Clear & Simple Stamps or a $25 Gift Certificate from Creative Cuts & More. Your chances to win end Friday, 11:59pm EST. Winner will be announced on Saturday. Thanks for stopping by and good luck!

I have two projects for you today. The first project is the Circle Window A2 Card with Mat.

The stamp set I used is one of my favorites from Clear & Simple Stamps, ABC123.

I ordered this Apple #01 small in chipboard, as well as, red and green cardstock to make this delicious, layered embellishment. I think I used every stamp in this set!!

I stamped the apple on yellow paper then colored it in a bit with Copics. The house image is from another Clear & Simple Stamps set, Home. Isn't it just darling?

The more you stamp on the inside the less you have to write. Am I right? ;) I think the staples are a nice touch.

Now on to the second project . . . .

Every teacher deserves not only a beautiful handmade card but a gift box to match. This is the Apple Window Square Box #01 from Creative Cuts & More.

I made the banner with three Triangle #01 petites. I love the look of the graphic crayon stamp in the background and the pop of yellow on top.

I stamped the alphabet repeatedly from the ABC123 set and distressed the edges of the box with ink and a sponge. Even the button is from Clear & Simple Stamps!

Inside is a special keepsake for teacher. It's a magnet made from the same chipboard apple I used on the card. Below you can see the magnet in action.

These die cuts and stamps are truly the Perfect Pair!! Leave some love for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate!!

Your next stop is Jen Tapler!

Thanks for stopping by and good luck!
