Moxie Fab Challenge: SPLATTER

All the Moms in my life enjoy my handmade cards. Here are a few pretty Mother's Day cards I made using stamps I designed this year, vs. someone else. That makes me so happy!

I used these sets: flower buds, flower garden, trinket sentiments (sentiment and bee trail), au naturel (bee) simply stated 2 (sentiment), and alpha engraved. You can find them all at Clear & Simple Stamps.

I joined in on the SPLATTER TECHNIQUE Moxie Fab challenge .... I splattered ink on the second card. It's such a cool look!

Party Time: Birthday

My crafty friends and I try to get together once a week to craft. This week we decided to enter the Paper Crafts Connection Party Ensemble Contest. We gathered up all of our Clear & Simple Stamps supplies and made 3 projects to coordinate with a card I made for a First Birthday Party.
We started with a banner using the new Banners dies from CSS newest collection.
Isn't it darling with the big giraffe die cut and stars? The die is from the Baby Shower Large die set. And the stars are from the new background builder set called Stars Plus. The little banner flag and sentiment are from a retired CSS set that I still love!
Our second little project was the decorated straws. I used the new Labels 3 die and you'll find this coordinating stamp in the Baby Shower stamp set.
Our final project is this adorable gift log. I remember needing one of these at my kiddos first birthday party. I even need one now.... for all year long and especially around the holidays. A spot just for writing 'who sent what' is so handy when you finally make time to make and send those handmade thank you cards!
We used the label die in the Mini Tri-fold 1 die set. {I absolutely love this shape!} Then, using the scripty background stamp in Quotes II that was released in Collection 1 at CSS. I like that vintage look. Each little banner flag that peeks out from under the label has the same treatment. We topped the label with this cutie giraffe, tag and button with twine. Such a cute combo of embellies.

And here was our inspiration! You can find the details for this 1st Birthday card in this post.
Was that fun or what?

Come back FRIDAY for another party ensemble!!!

Do-Over Blog Hop

One of my New Year Resolutions this year is to participate in one challenge a month. This is my second! Go me!
Amber @ Damask Love challenged her readers to play along in her Do-Over Blog Hop.
The challenge is to go through your blog posts and find that project that left you thinking to yourself, "What was I thinking?!".

But first.... THE AFTER:

THE DO-OVER (aka: what was I thinking):
I think I was thinking color first then add designer paper. I think the colors here are so drab when all is said and done. What was I thinking?!

I decided I wanted a rainbow of colors. I like this version much better.

I used the same stamp sets as in the original. Craft Room and Crafty Sentiments!  AND.... these stacked buckets are inspired by Virginia.

Now I can invite a crafty friend over and be proud of my colorful card.

Thanks Amber for the unique and inspiring challenge!!

Make It Monday #47

Make It Monday #47: a la carte

I thought Make It Monday #46: Any Die into a Folded Tag looked like a good challenge. I used my new favorite PTI set and dies.... Truckin' It.

Here's the folded pieces I cut from the die. I colored three separate die cuts to go on top of the folded pieces.
Super cute tags for Back-To-School gifts for teachers or kids or even just for a boy's gift.

Can you see how there are two pieces here?

Just Add Color Challenge

CAS-ual Fridays has a Just Add Color challenge up right now.
I made an invitation for a crafty friend using Copic markers.

I used my new sets from Clear & Simple Craft Room and Crafty Sentiments.

Papertrey November blOg hOp Challenge

I've been anxious to use my little turkey die from Papertrey Ink and it's matching stamp set, Gobble, Gobble!

Today PTI put up a challenge to make holiday tags so I did just that! Turkey Day is the perfect excuse to break out this die, stamp set, felt and label die (also PTI)!

Happy Turkey Day all!

WaltzingMouse Tag Challenge #2

For the tag I decided to make the base with the border image from WaltzingMouse Stamps Vintage Labels 5 set and then paired it with one of the sentiments from the Peace & Plenty set. The image in the background is a rub on from Marah Johnson. The square bag and die cut snowflakes are from Creative Cuts & More.

WaltzingMouse Tag Challenge

For the tag I decided to make the base with the cathedral image from WaltzingMouse Stamps Midnight Feast set and then paired it with one of the sentiments from the Peace & Plenty set. The sweet little Angel image is from Stampington & Co. The cupcake box is from Creative Cuts & More.

Thanks for stopping by.

WaltzingMouse Challenge #20

It's this a super cute card?
I used a big Sizzix Label die as the base. These stamps are from WaltzingMouse Stamps Peace & Plenty stamp set. I really like the fonts in the sentiment!

Holiday Card Challenge

I chose to re-create a holiday card from a Mother's Day card on
page 92 in Card Creations magazine Vol. 8.

I made 3 sets of three . . . .

All of the papers here are from Crate Paper
Cute holiday collection, right?

The sentiment stamps are from PTI
and the snowflake stamp is from CTMH.

This is a good head start for getting those holiday cards done on time!
