Another fun filled post with Clear & Simple Stamps' Collection 8. It's all about Banner Flags for me today..... and Wedding cards. I used stamps from the new sets Banner Flags 2 and Banner Flags 3 along with a favorite sentiment set of mine called All Occasions 1. Another something new is Edgers #5. Do you see that elegant yet masculine edge on the envie? Yeah, I cut that with my new Edgers #5 die. It's cool, I know!

How about the mustache and mannequin form die cuts resembling the Bride and Groom. Cheeky, eh?

I love the graphic feel each element gives this card, to include the large ampersand die cut from Large Print Symbols.

Yes, that's a woodgrain filler for your banner die cut! You're welcome!

Oh and check out the itty bitty polka dots on the back side of this wavy banner.... love, love, love! I inked up another fav, Build-a-Flower. I think they are made for each other.

Wedding Card: Stamped and Spritzed

I love the Mr. & Mrs. stamp from Clear & Simple Stamps,
you'll find it in the All Occasions 1 set.

I paired the sentiment with the fun stamps in Flowers.

On the inside I used the Mini Tri-fold 2 die, Flowers, and
the little plus signs bar in Background Basics 2.

Also, I spritzed it with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Arctic Blue.

You can fit money or a gift card in that Mini Tri-fold 2 die. It's so cool.

CSS Release Day 2

Welcome to Day 2, people. What did you think of yesterday's reveal? Are you counting the ways to use the new shape stamps and dies?

Today the team is showcasing Flowers & Butterflies. There are a lot of beautiful stamps and dies in this Collection 3. Here is a peek at some butterfly dies in action....

How fabulous is this Mr. & Mrs. sentiment stamp (All Occasions 1 - available May 5th)? There are a ton of pretty sentiments for you to choose from. I used the Labels 9 die that was released in Collection 2 along with one of our Circle Shapes dies as the base of the focal point.

I used some double-sided designer paper and simply folded over the bottom portion to reveal the back side. This left a pocket, of sorts, so I slipped in a little twine and made a bow.

I didn't decide I wanted a circle until 3 layers in so the very bottom layer didn't cut completely. I used it to my advantage and added some pop dots just at the top of the circle for added interest.

 It brings one side of the circle up, flush with the label die cut.

Jewelry Tags and Wedding Attendants' Favor Bags

A wedding is afoot for one of my cousins. Since I can't be there (just had a baby) I wanted to make not only her invitations but some favor boxes for her attendants. At the last minute, I decided to fill the boxes for my cousin with some of my handmade earrings. I have a huge stash just waiting for a good home. To make these lovely little tags, I used some scrap papers measuring approx. 1.5 x 2.5 scored. I punched two holes near the top and stamped with Clear & Simple Stamps On the Mend set and sentiments from PTI.

 Using the small stitch image, I made a necklace by curving the clear stamp.

 These tags fit perfectly inside this darling dress box from Creative Cuts & More.

 I didn't actually TIE the twine around the box. I tread it through a button then wrapped it around the middle of the dress. Looping it back around the button then securing the twine by simply threading it behind all the layers.

Then I added this cool die cut dress form from Clear & Simple Stamps.

Wedding Invite

Just a little Graphic Design project I worked on this year for a dear cousin.
Although, they have not set a date, this is a sweet little mock-up of a unique
invitation with built-in panel for RSVP.

Modern and hot, right? I hope they pick a date soon! No pressure! :)

Not what you were expecting, was it?

 

 

I knew I wanted to play with tone on tone using my dies! The folded 'top note' diecut piece is mounted to a simple panel card. A panel card is usually used to print an invitation or announcement. I got them for free!!! Print shops have tons of great paper in their recycle bins! Ask to go for a dive, don't be shy!
