Teacher Gifts: notepad holder

Is it Teacher Appreciation time or what?
I made these beauties for a few teachers I know.
Hopefully they will be useful. I sure like mine!
Yep, I actually kept something.... it isn't perfect
but I love it....
I found this great tutorial at The Cottage Mama.

Sew Saturday: organizer wallet

Welcome Sew Saturday followers.... I am getting a lot of new
followers and wonderful comments due to this new series of
sewing posts. Thank you.

Today I want to share this darling little wallet I found
as a free tutorial from LBG Studio. It took me about 3 hours
to make. I used some lovely Notting Hill fabrics by Joel Dewberry
and the animal print fabric is from a bundle called Tonal 2 Bundle
from JoAnn Fabric.

I made this little wallet to match the
handmade retro metro bag
that I made from scratch a few weeks back.

Sew Saturday: spring weekender bag

Interfacing combo updated....

Let me share my best Weekender yet! I think I have found
the perfect combination of interfacings. I used Pellon TP971F
Fusible Thermolam Plus (Quilting Interfacing - Fleece) on the
outer fabric and then for the lining fabric I layered Pellon 808
Craft Fuse (Crafts & Home Decor Interfacing - Stabilizer) first
then Fleece on top of Stabilizer. Both from JoAnn Fabric.
It looks and feels great.
I found this lovely decor fabric there too, in the remnants bin.

How about that little matching zipper pouch...
I can't help but make a matching something!

Backpack: build a background

It's Collection 8 Release in Review day with Clear & Simple Stamps.
_______________________

I am pairing up new sets with some more of my favorite products.

First is this super cute backpack die I designed. It's a great size for little treats,
cash, flashcards.... I put chalk in one for a teacher gift  last year.

Before assembly, I stamped the front and back with Alpha Clear,
it's a great size and I love that it's an outline set.

My original plan was to make a card but once I made this funky background
using Flashcards, Diamond Grid and Alpha Clear I knew I wanted to
do something more. I die cut the parts of the backpack I wanted and
simply covered those area with the funky new background paper.

And the backpack fits on the Rag Dolls.

How cute is that for a back-to-school gifty!!
My soon to be 6 year old LOVES his Rag Dolls. This one is his fav.

More Release in Review at Clear & Simple Stamps. Check it out.

Thanks for stopping by,
steph
